You are invited to share comments on the statewide multimodal transportation plan VTrans, and the FY 2020-2025 Six Year Improvement Program (SYIP) Spring Transportation Hearing on On Monday, April 22, 2019.
Beginning at 3 p.m., there will be an open house with information and opportunities for public feedback on the statewide, multimodal transportation plan, known as VTrans. This open house will be the first of four for the new plan update and will cover the vision and goals for the plan as well as information on the required statewide multimodal Needs Assessment. More information can be found at www.VTrans.org or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no formal hearing for the VTrans open house.
At 4:00 p.m., The Commonwealth Transportation Board will open a formal public hearing and take comments into consideration as it develops the FY 2020-2025 SYIP. The program allocates public funds to highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation projects. All federally eligible projects in the SYIP will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to document how Virginia will obligate its federal funds.
